###### In order to ensure a secure data transfer with Ratepay, it is possible to transfer data from or to our SFTP server.

With access to our SFTP server, you can:

- Download settlement files
- Download clearing files
- Download merchant invoices
- Upload regular customer files


**This quick guide will help you to set up a connection in just three easy steps.**

## Step 1

A SSH private/public key pair (OpenSSH) must be present. The public key must be transferred to [secure@support.ratepay.com](mailto:secure@support.ratepay.com).

## Step 2

Firewalls must allow outgoing TCP connections to `files.ratepay.com` at port `22`.
