# Secure data exchange with Ratepay

###### In order to ensure a secure data transfer with Ratepay, it is possible to transfer data to our SFTP server.

**This quick guide will help you to set up a connection in just three easy steps.**

## Step 1

A SSH private/public key pair (OpenSSH) must be present. The public key must be transferred to [secure@support.ratepay.com](mailto:secure@support.ratepay.com).

## Step 2

Firewalls must allow outgoing TCP connections to `files.ratepay.com` at port `22`.
