# SFTP connection

###### To transfer and receive files, you need a compatible SFTP or SCP tool.

If you do not have such a software, use WinSCP for Windows.

By using the portable version you do not need administrator rights for installation.

## Set up a new connection

| Field | Value |
|  --- | --- |
| Server name | `files.ratepay.com` |
| Port | `22` |
| Protocol | SFTP with SCP fallback |
| Username | Will be communicated to you separately. |
| Password | Please leave it blank. We use the [SSH key](/docs/developer/sftp/ssh_key/ssh_key/) for authentication. |
